William "Bill" A. Dawson, age 94, of Peoria, quietly went home to Jesus on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at his home.
Bill was born on May 10, 1930, to Della Mae and Frederick Dawson in Columbus, OH. He married the love of his life, Earlene Bearce, on June 9, 1952, she preceded him in death in June of 2022.
Also preceding him in death was an infant brother; brother, Joseph Dawson; sister, JoAnn Lewis; and his daughters-in-law, Christine Dawson and Nancy Dawson.
Bill is survived by his sons: Peter Dawson of Peoria, IL, and Frederick (Pamela) Dawson of Pekin, IL; grandchildren: Chad Dawson of Bettendorf, IA, Brandy (Dany) Dawson-Sarraf of Peoria, IL, Jill (Rick) Dawson-Hoffman of Peoria, IL, Ian (Angela) Dawson of Pekin, IL, and Lt. Colonel Kurtis (Raquel) Sargent of Shiloh, IL; great-grandchildren: Madysen Shanine, Genessa Dawson, Dawson Hoffman, Alexandria Tomevi, CJ Dawson, Laney Hoffman, Ethan Dawson, Maia Dawson, Cole Dawson, RiShann Ware and Kurtis Sargent Jr.; great-grea
