East Peoria - Francis Eugene Mehn, 82, of East Peoria, passed away on Friday March 14, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am Wednesday, March 19th, with a service to follow at Wilton Mortuary, Peoria IL. Gravesite services will follow at Swan Lake Cemetery, Peoria.
He was born on October 1, 1942 in Chenoa IL to John and Edna Mehn. He married Carol Belcher on November 24, 1963 and celebrated 61 years together. She survives.
Francis is also survived by his 4 children: Dora (Rocky) Davis, Sherry (Benny) Barnwell, Francis Jr "Bud" (Denise) Mehn and Jon (Beth) Mehn, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, with one on the way, sisters Betty Lucas, Margie Clark, Mary Lee and brother Johnnie Mehn.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings: Edward Mehn, Pearl Calhoun, Ruth Marsh, Shirley Stamper, and Linda Boswell.
He worked for Caterpillar for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, old westerns, old classic cars and his family. He was always the first to show up at event
