William Eugene Johnson, 88, of Peoria, IL passed away on March 12, 2025 in Peoria, IL. William was born on August 30, 1936 in Peoria, IL to Hubert and Pearl (Waller) Johnson. He married Judith Broadstone. She precedes him in death.
Surviving is daughter, Krista (Bill) Daily; grandchildren Andrew S. Eckhold, Tim & Stephanie A. (Eckhold) Irwin, Zachary W. Eckhold, four great grandchildren, and one sister, Pat Ward.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Judith, and siblings-Norma, Delores, Janell, and Herbert.
William worked at Keystone Steel & Wire Company for 32 years mainly in payroll. He graduated from Peoria Manual Class of 1954. Then he went to Brown's Business College in Peoria for two years. On September 07, 1957, he bought his beautiful to be wife an engagement ring. They were married the next year on May 24, 1958 at the old 2nd Baptist Church on Olive Street.
