Ellen F. Woods, 82, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away on March 5, 2025, at Fort Myers Nursing Center in Fort Myers, FL.
Ellen was born on July 3, 1942, in Peoria, IL, to Thomas and Helen Baker.
She is survived by her three sons: Stephen Graham of Mooresville, NC, John (Linda) Hess of Peoria, IL, and Paul (Angelica) Hess of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Shelton of Fort Myers, FL.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles, and sister-in-law Patricia.
Ellen last worked at Kroger on Lake Street for 18 years before retiring in 2014. She was always friendly and cheerful to everyone she met. Her hobbies included working in the yard and playing Bingo with her twin sister, Eleanor.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Alzheimer's Association.
