Marilyn J. Hillig, 92, of Bartonville, IL, passed from this world into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 4, 2025, at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria.
Marilyn was born on February 24, 1933, in Oberlin, OH, to Henry and Mabel Baumann. She married Richard A. Hillig in Bartonville on March 6, 1954. Richard preceded her in death on May 1, 2015.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Janet) Hillig Jr., of Bartonville; grandchildren: Andrew Hillig and Lisa Hillig, both of Peoria; and great-grandchildren: Reese Hillig, Dylan Andrus, Kayden Sackman, and Jade Martin.
After graduating from Peoria Manual Training High School, she worked in the office at Caterpillar.
Marilyn was a devoted, loving wife to her husband and a wonderfully patient and loving mother to her son Rich, his wife, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
After marrying, she spent most of her life worshipping at Zion Lutheran Church in Peoria before joining Living Waters Lutheran Church where she loved
