Thomas A Phillips, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his home in Peoria, IL.
Tom was born on April 2, 1943 to Freeman "Dan" and Marie (Heichelbech) Phillips in St. Louis, MO. He was a graduate of Richwoods High School '61 and Proud Navy optical man of the U.S.S. Sperry. Tom married Sally (Merrill) July 12, 1969 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. He became a devoted and loving father to Mark in '73 and again to Mike in '79.
Tom worked for IVP from May 1969 until Aug 1994, when he retired. Two short years later he became a loving grandpa to Brittney (Phillips) McCarten. Tom is survived by his wife Sally of 55 years, his two sons Mark, and Mike, two sisters, Ginger Phillips and Sandy Printy, one granddaughter Brittney, plus several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Marie, brother, Danny Phillips and sister Barb Mousty.
