Dcn. Roger A. Hunter July 12, 1946 - March 2, 2025 Roger Allan Hunter, 78, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.Roger was born in Ludington, Michigan on July 12, 1946 to the late Clark Lester and Regina Ann (Greiner) Hunter. While at Ludington St. Simon High School, he played baseball and sang in the Glee Club. He also played drums, clarinet and tenor sax in the Ludington Public High School marching, concert and dance bands. He took much pride in being an Acolyte for his church, St. Simon.Roger graduated from Ludington St. Simon's High School in May 1964. He graduated from Davenport University with an AS Retailing degree in March 1967, working full-time at Sears in Grand Rapids, MI to pay for his college expenses. Then, after his military requirements were fulfilled, he graduated from Ferris State University with a BS Marketing degree in 1971.
