Shirley Rose Abbey, 86, of Peoria, IL went home to Jesus on August 19,2024, at 12:05pm after a long fulfilling life. Shirley Rose Abbey (Montgomery) was born on Dec. 1, 1937, in Pekin, IL. to Lee B and Ethel (Meads) Montgomery. She graduated from Manuel High School, Peoria, IL. in 1957. She went on to marry the love of her life Carson "Frank" Abbey on Oct. 19, 1957, and the two were married 51 years at the time of Frank's passing in 2008. From their marriage they had four Children: James Abbey of Peoria, IL. Christine (Ed) Simpson of Pekin, IL. William (Kim) Abbey of Lewistown, IL. Jason (Angie) Abbey of East Peoria, IL.
