Brenda Kay Epley passed away on Saturday, August 17th, 2024 in Peoria, IL, just a few months after her 80th birthday.
Brenda was born on June 30th, 1944 and grew up in Fillmore, IL. She spent most of her life in the greater Peoria area. She is survived by her son, Daren (Tricia) Epley, 4 stepchildren and their families, 4 brothers and 2 sisters, her grandchildren Claire (Drew Wysong) and John Epley, and her great granddaughter, Leighton (Claire and Drew Wysong). She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Avery.
Brenda was an active member of the Peoria community who constantly surrounded herself with family and friends. She was a talented businesswoman for many years. She was an avid seamstress and owned Brenda's Fabrics as well as Brenda's Full Figured Fashions. She later shifted her career to become a realtor with Jim Maloof, RE/MAX, and Traders. She served as President of the Board for the Peoria Area Association of Realtors. She eventually retired to spend as much time as possi
