Demetrius Latrell Boyd, known affectionately as "Meechie," passed away on August 17, 2024, in Peoria, Illinois, at the age of 30. Born in Peoria on January 7, 1994, Meechie was a cherished member of the community and a loving father to his 10-year-old son.

Meechie had a vibrant personality and a passion for life, which was evident in his love for music and basketball. His presence brought joy and laughter to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted son and his four brothers,Two Sisters Taylor Boyd Apryl Boyd Diontre Boyd, Homer Boyd, Ray King, and Travis Wilson, who will hold his memory dear.

The funeral services will be held at Remmert Funeral Home in Peoria, Illinois, on August 24, 2024, starting at 11:00 A.M. Remmert Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. The family invites all who knew Meechie to join in celebrating his life and bidding him farewell.
