Betty J. Lansford, 99, formerly of Peoria, IL, died on August 09, 2024, at Evergreen Senior Living in Chillicothe, IL.
She was born on November 26, 1924, to John and Lila "Dell" Sheber in Peoria. Betty married Kenneth E. Lansford, Sr. on May 03, 1944, in Corona, CA. Kenny preceded her in death on February 10, 2018.
Betty was further preceded by a son, John Lansford and his wife, Sue, four sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by two sons, Kenny (Patty) Lansford, Jr. of Yuma, AZ and Terry Lansford of Chillicothe, IL; two grandsons, John and Terry Lansford; and two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Adam Lansford.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was known to be very neighborly. Betty loved to bowl and was an avid bowler up into her 80's with her husband. She also enjoyed bowling in a league with her sister. Betty was also a seamstress and was in the Peoria Sewing Guild.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Entombment will be at a later date in Swan
