Mr. Donald Lee Ashby, Sr., 87, of Peoria, IL passed away at 11:20 am on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Accolade HealthCare of Peoria.
Donald was born on February 20, 1937 in Peoria, IL to James, Sr. and Margaret (Davis) Ashby.
Donald attended Peoria Central High School. He enjoyed eating, visiting with friends and on occasions enjoyed playing the lottery. Donald never spent more than ten dollars at a time. He attended church as a child with his parents at Grace Baptist Church and on special occasions as an adult.
Donald worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company, a cabinet maker and a senior grandparent at a child daycare in Missouri.
Donald leaves to cherish her precious memory, his children, Veronica Ashby, Karen Ashby, Janell Ashby, Ella Ashby and Donald Ashby, Jr. all of Peoria, IL; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; special friend, Rev.
